Aiko Hemingway is an entrepreneur, TEDx speaker, YouTuber, Toastmaster, and executive English/pronunciation coach. Born and raised in Japan, she moved to the US when she was 23 years old with no English skills. As she overcame the challenges in acquiring English and its pronunciation as an adult, she now helps other Japanese speakers improve their English so that they can perform better in an English environment. She graduated from UCLA in B.A. in Linguistics and published a research paper as a co-author at American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. In 2023, She gave a TEDx Talk in California on language learning as an adult. She served as the District Director in the Hawaii District in Toastmasters in the 2024-2025 term. She is now part of Toastmasters in the Japan District.
Victor is the co-founder and Head of Infrastructure at Tryp.com, a Danish AI TravelTech startup. Tryp.com was founded while most of the founders were still university students, and have since grown to be one of the fastest growing startups in the European traveling scene. With thousands of tickets sold per month, multiple VC-backed funding rounds, and ongoing TV campaigns in multiple countries, Tryp.com is slowly cementing itself as a household name in the leisure travel space. During his 3 years in Hokkaido, Victor has founded Guramu Software 合同会社, a software consultancy, and Hokkaido Entrepreneurship Expo, a community-driven organization, dedicated to strengthening and growing the Hokkaido entrepreneurship community. Most recently, he has been the initiator of the “Don’t Kill Foreign Entrepreneurship in Japan” movement, a protest against a set of proposed changes to the Business Manager visa.
